In an ongoing marketing strategy of engaging with its mobile responsive demographic within its customer base, Citi Trends is interested in ongoing SMS text promotions that provide a consumer incentive and rewards.

THE SOLUTION
Seasonal text-to-win promotions with cash prizes and in-store redemption to increase store traffic, and targeted mobile advertising in select markets to boost sales revenue.

THE RESULTS
In the most recent text-to-win promotion, there were 121,075 entrants from 39,353 unique mobile phone numbers (32.5% unique), 4,110 of the entrants were winners (3.4% of plays), and there 4,641 entrants who also completed a double opt-in procedure to receive a weekly future text marketing promotion, a 12.3% opt-in rate. The top locations of participation were in Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Michigan, South Carolina and Louisiana. The targeted mobile ad buy of 2.85M brand impressions yielded 17,957 clicks producing a robust 0.63% click-through-rate, more than twice the industry average.
